But what is the particular issue that Plato's dialogue raised that led you to study it so closely? If we trim the fat, are you saying the question is how can gods communicate with us? Why was that an issue, can you explain what you thought a god was and why it would have difficulty talking to us?

Or is the fat the meat here, the dialogue was a bit of your historical narrative that you found interesting apart from any distinguishable philosophical/intellectual concern? A sort of personal concern with the narrative/actors, for use in a story you're writing?

@alexpriou Thanks. I suppose the academy is the only side to provide me with something tangible, and as they define the term I would have a hard time caring less about it. I'll stick with my own definition and enjoy the community of would-be internet philosopher kings instead. 🤴
