@senatormbyrne @FineGael@ReginaDo Did Regina also tell you the dept are restarting the reviews for recipients of DCA, many families rely on this to fund private therapies the HSE isn’t equipped to provide. Reviews will most likely require families to provide professional Hse reports?? That we don’t have.
@GarNob@ReginaDo Are they going to hire extra staff to reassess children to facilitate this?? If they are looking for professional reports AGAIN then we are all in a mess. Dca in my house is used for private therapies because we don’t get anything from HSE?
A new blow for Carers. I’m hoping @ReginaDo clarifys the intentions of her Dept in seeking to randomly review people in receipt of Domiciliary Care Allowances for their sick and disabled kids. The proposals smell of getting people to reapply all over again and are unacceptable
An update on the search for Irishman Seamus Lawless, missing on Mount Everest since last Thursday, via the GoFundMe page set up to assist in paying for the search operation.
https://t.co/DRcbZu3VDE. @FinianMcGrathTD @ReginaDo nice article, please remember it’s not just the cost to the person with the disability but the family as a whole, those who have zero choice but to become a carer and get nothing in return due to the means test. @mark_fitzpat
#Seamuslawless#bringShayhome Please take a moment to think about your brother, your son, your father, your husband. His family need to know they have tried their best to get him home. I certainly couldn’t leave mine not knowing that I could have. Please donate
Thank you for the amazing support received to date for @seamuslawless#everest2019 The campaign has reached €200,000-an amazing achievement but the family still need help. Donate https://t.co/PD4vWXB9iO #BringShayHome
This is why my son can't fit in his wheelchair seat & is housebound currently. The 1st pic is the night b4 his fusion Oct 8th. The 2nd pic is today. His seat was moulded to fit him as you see in that 1st pic. No child should be forced to wait months on end like this. #scoliosis
Parents of disabled children: HSE makes us prisoners in our own homes
The parents of disabled children discuss the HSE's "in loco parentis" rule which means they can't leave their own homes even though nurses are in the house #cblive
#carersincrisis Well done everyone, loco parentis rule disables the whole family within what could be a great homesupport, instead prisoners in our own home and siblings missing out on any afternoon activities as home support cannot be on their own #cblive
@GarNob Such a shame it was amended, have we learned nothing from the trial last year where social media enabled a trial online & destroyed it #anadeservesjustice
