@dawg_days65_7 @liabinkin I am not an expert enough to know whether or red card was legit or not. But it’s clear the VAR process and appeal process was / is screwed up. There is no clear consensus as to how or if a red card / VAR screw up can be appealed.

@purely_james @liabinkin The World Cup shouldn’t be political period regardless of what country is involved. FIFA is ultimately responsible, but the the perception is horrific. (FIFA gave Trump the first ever (and previously unknown) FIFA Peace prize so it’s easy to understand the perception).

I am an American, and in order to uphold the integrity of the game #USMNT should hold out #Balogun from the game. While VAR procedures were apparently violated, the appearance of political interference can’t be tolerated.

@callmebigboye @Fac515 @MarioNawfal The whole thing is now fucked up. President Trump apparently called FIFA asking them to review. Regardless of the calls impact, this is a terrible look. As an American the US should hold him out of the game to preserve the integrity of the game.

@stoolpresidente If the VAR judge was from Venezuela, would it not be a conflict (or at least a perception) to have someone from a country that was subject to recent military action to be a judge in a WC game?
