@Rainmaker1973 it doesnt really matter because in today's world, China has completely co-opted South Korean politics. If a conservative runs for office, they simply arrest him.
There is no doubt Hassan deserves to die. His crimes were demonic and unforgivableβdeath by firing squad is borderline too merciful. But broadcasting his execution is beneath the dignity & decency of our nation.
Americans will use violence if and when justified, but we do not rejoice in it. Kill him swiftly & silently.
Streaming his execution is not just a stain on our moralityβit also gives the terrorists free propaganda that they will use to radicalize & recruit more terrorists like Hassan.
Who still carries out public executions:
The Iranian regime
The North Korean regime
The Taliban in Afghanistanβ¨Al-Shabaab in Somalia
That is not the company we want to keep or the country we want to be.
@hwinkler4real And its about time. Next step is to bring back the guillotine. F'ing taking a botched execution to the hospital and putting her on a respirator is peak idiocy.
In the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the creation of Deep Thought - the impossibly powerful sentient computer - outrages the Amalgamated Union of Philosophers, Sages, Luminaries and Other Thinking Persons.
They stage protests and try to shut it down, not because it is wrong, but because it is better at being right than they are.
They demand "rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty," because, being a union, they have no interest in getting work done.
They would happily stop the progress of knowledge if it meant they could continue to collect their cheques.
They are ultimately pacified when Deep Thought points out that the 7.5 million years it will take to answer the question of life, the universe and everything gives them plenty of time to make a killing from speculation and book deals.
