Mercury and Venus will be so low and setting early evening, they’ll be difficult to see. Uranus and Neptune are never visible without a telescope or binoculars.

Melissa rises to third strongest Atlantic storm on record by central pressure, reaching 892 hPa.
With winds of 185 mph, the storm is just 5 mph shy of the Atlantic wind record.

We have confirmed an EF0 tornado did occur early Sunday AM in NE Troup County. Max winds of 85mph. Tornado occurred between 4:25AM and 4:27AM in a mostly wooded area, however 1 structure was hit and sustained roof damage. Thanks to Troup Co EMA for assistance on the survey

I understand the frustration with slow responses for these tiny Appalachian towns. This is a main thoroughfare connecting Damascus, Va to 5 other towns, and the North Carolina line.
It’s just gone. Every route is like this in some way, shape or form.
