Because of contracts with external entities, I am required to do mandatory annual education for 3 different groups. Please sit & imagine doing 3 different (but same) educational modules on phishing. Send help…preferably in the form of alcohol. They wonder why we get burned out.

Med schools are moving away from comparative grades. The debate rages on, and there are thoughtful arguments on both sides. Fine.

My humble request: Consistency among schools.

There are hundreds of different scales and rules. Just pick one system and make every school use it.

Me: Better yet, let’s anticoagulate them. In full transparency, you should probably never hypercoagulate someone.

Vitals checks at night for stable ward-level patients rarely change management (NNT 1,856) but cause patient suffering and significantly contribute to delirium. We should strongly consider spacing these out or foregoing them entirely on select patients.
