Had a great opportunity to engage in an inquiry-building math talk where the students had to guess the shape by asking yes or no questions. They build up their conceptual knowledge of angles and side lengths.

Quick shoutout to Dave Burgess, I have learned so many new things about becoming a better educator and I can't wait to give them a try in my future classroom.

Hello, educators I created a Nearpod on civics proven practice #5 (Encourage student participation in school governance). It is really important to include civics practices in school!

Can’t wait to show my class this activity I created for them. We are studying non-renewable energy resources and the vinegar is dissolving the chalk representing what acid rain can do when we burn fossil fuels. This is a great way to engage students!
I love this opening activity for students to get to know the teacher! This would be a great time to introduce math talk rules and promote the classroom culture that you are striving for. #Mathtalk@kevinsmithsd
I found a super cool video about math anxiety that affects about 20 percent of students. This video talks about different solutions of how we can overcome it!
