This is the bilingual CEO of TC Energy, a 🇨🇦 company that moves 30% of ALL natural gas within North America across 94,000 km of pipelines. He successfully chaired a 🇺🇸 gov’t study to streamline permitting. His analysis of Canada’s competitiveness?
“Canada has fallen behind… for too long capital has not felt welcome here… we’re competing with the world under a very different set of expectations…the US sanctioned $56 billion of LNG projects, Canada zero… we began construction 8 months after filing our permit (in Mexico)… their Plan 2030 seeks to attract investment of $300 billion."
While Carney dithers with his net zero nostalgia, 🇨🇦 is losing out.
Not a single purchaser of crude oil in the world asks nor cares about the carbon footprint of the barrel, instead is 100% focused on accessibility, affordability, and reliability. I do not see how we overcome this massive misunderstanding which underpins all ongoing negotiations.
@timhodgsonmt Nothing will ever get built. These promises are just an illusion to keep people under the spell. The Carney liberals just as the Trudeau liberals were, are a total failure
@timhodgsonmt@ExnerPirot Same retards that just told us there was no business case. These people are fools leading us and never get anything done but spend more money and announce more debt… don’t worry life’s never been more affordable 🤡
@lesliechurch Wow if only we didn’t watch the previous ten years of this liberal government say the exact same things as they have ruined our economy, cratered investment and drove the price of everything through the roof. But oh wait life has never been more affordable 🤡🤡🤡🤡….
Ron Butler @ronmortgageguy the other day at the HOC Standing Committee on Finance with some hard truths. He critiques the Government's fourth housing bureaucracy and explains why housing prices might actually need to fall to save the market.
@JasminLaine_ If he does a deal and nothing changes for Canada, people will hopefully wake up to the fact he is equally as bad for Canada as Trudeau. Also it will turn out Pierre was right and it wasn’t as much trump as it was our own Policies that are harming the Canadian economy!
@DavidColetto All I see is the same failed policies he has been guiding Trudeau on over the last decade. Making him and his buddies rich at the expense of everyday Canadians. Tone deaf and out of touch with reality.
🚨 So let me get this straight 🇨🇦
Sending billions abroad?
➡️ “Global leadership” 🌍
Helping Canadians with fuel costs?
➡️ “Irresponsible, increases the deficit” 🤔
Same budget. Same taxpayers.
Same dollars.
But somehow the math changes depending on where the money goes?
Funny how that works.
The deficit doesn’t care if it’s called
“foreign aid” or “relief at home.”
It’s still spending.
So maybe the real conversation isn’t about whether it impacts the deficit …
it’s about who we prioritize when money is tight.
Just asking.

Liberals are out bragging about making life so much more affordable with all their tax cuts.
Well, the average Canadian pays roughly half their income to tax.
Govts steal the bread off our tables, throw back some crumbs and expect us to grateful. They can go fuck themselves.
@BradWall306@WBrettWilson If only there was an amazing Premier who would be willing to step up and run for the Conservative Party when they unfortunately force Pierre out after years of smearing him in the media…..This country needs you!
Wake up Canada this is an illegitimate majority. We did not vote for this don’t let corruption and back door deals steal our voices. @PierrePoilievre please do something. We need to make this the hill we make a stand on
On a hot mic ahead of a press conference in Ottawa, Conservative MP Billy Morin tells reporters the Liberals are trying to get him to cross the floor, but he has no intention of leaving the Tory caucus
