Men don't tell their wives how bad their day was because they don't want them to worry about them,
Women tell their husbands about their bad days because they want their husbands to worry about them,
@CityNewsVAN Doubling down?
You mean doing what everyone voted for.
We have a mandate to end this welfare madness.
Everyone should be treated equal.
End of story
@BrandonFugal@MickWest Mick doesn't even care
He's probably the guy that gets blown out of the water the most for being wrong and just ignores it to move on to another stupid post like this
I love how one of the most interesting people to ever walk the face of this Earth, says he would never commit suicide, gets a tattoo saying he will never commit suicide, and then commits suicide and nobody even looks into it
Abolish the Indian Act. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
We will, of course, need new legislation that is an interface between the Federal government and First Nations. And this MUST be created alongside Chiefs and First Nation governments every step of the way. But it is time to move past the era of this outdated, racist, and patriarchal legislation.
I support Prime Minister Carney’s work to position Canada as a global leader in human rights and democracy. The Indian Act is inconsistent with achieving that vision.
Our laws at home should reflect the values we champion around the world.
It’s time for a relationship with First Nations people that reflects who we are as Canadians today, recognizes nationhood, and lives up to the true nature of reconciliation.
My dad & I had the exact same job: UA 170 steamfitter in BC.
1975 ($10.50/hr):
• 1 oz gold ($145) = 14 hrs of work
• Burnaby house ($32k) = 3,047 hrs
Today ($50/hr):
• 1 oz gold ($5,620) = 112 hrs (8x longer)
• Same house ($2.6M) = 52,000 hrs (17x longer)
Same trade. 8x more labor for gold. 17x more for a home.
And boomer still think they had a tough life
Well that didn't take long. A new government gets elected and the Cowichan lawyer suddenly has a new proposal coming in January that will protect private property rights in the Richmond case. https://t.co/kWAyPRLvHv
