Have you ever wished your life would change? Woke up and you lived your dreams. Baby I could help you make that change. I could show ya how to do this thing.
"If there's a book you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it."
Remembering one of the most powerful and distinguished storytellers of our time: Toni Morrison.
Morrison became the first African American woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize when she received the literature prize in 1993.

Americans are exhausted by endless wars built on lies and paid for with American and foreign lives.
I'm urging my colleagues to vote YES on the War Powers Resolution authored by Khanna-Massie and stop Trump's illegal war in Iran.
Republicans are using kids as a smokescreen for what Big Tech lobbyists want: a national surveillance program to harvest our data with zero protections for people and their privacy.
We must fight this dangerous expansion of surveillance technology.
“The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.” -George Orwell, 1984
Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park has taken down an exhibit on slavery, in line with President Trump’s executive order calling for “restoring truth and sanity to American history.”
NPR recently reported that the National Park Service was ordered to remove any books from its museums or gift shops that cast America in a negative light, which could include stories about slavery. Many people, including historians, say they’re concerned the administration is attempting to reframe U.S. history by erasing the worst parts of it.

A NEW TWIST ON THE OLD SLAVE STORY
This time of year, we hear a lot about the Transatlantic Slave Trade, but the "official" history usually leaves out the expertise they were stealing.

State-Sanctioned Murder, Now Standard Procedure
What is paraded as security is the administrative normalisation of death. Indefinite detention, absent charge, planned execution: the architecture of extermination wearing a legal costume. When one state perfects it, others rehearse it. Silence is consent; resistance is obligation.
Ivory Perry was an activist and community leader in St. Louis who spent decades fighting for racial equality, economic justice, and tenants’ rights.
A member of both the pioneering national civil rights organization CORE, and ACTION, a local group that worked to secure economic opportunities for Black St. Louisans, Perry is most well known for his participation in direct action protests around the country during the civil rights era and his tireless efforts to raise awareness of the epidemic of lead-poisoning related illnesses that plagued St. Louis’ Black community.
As a committed advocate for historically marginalized people, we remember Ivory Perry as a St. Louis hero today on the anniversary of his death.
ICE is operating exactly as it was meant to. It is deeply and uniquely American.
Pretending otherwise prevents us from working towards dismantling the institutions that harm our communities.
Don Lemon, Georgia Fort, Trahern Crews, and Jamael Lundy must be freed. Their arrests are another example of how this administration continues to attack our 1st Amendment rights. Hands off!
Keith Porter Jr., a father of two, a son, and a brother, had his life taken by off-duty ICE agent Brian Palacios. His grieving family came together to demand the truth. We will continue to support Keith Porter Jr.’s family until they receive justice, transparency, and answers.
Dreading doing your taxes? Billionaires aren’t.
While Trump does nothing to lower the cost of living for you, he's making it even easier for billionaires to get away with cheating on their taxes.
