@TheBishF1 I learnt to drive in one of those in Khartoum in the early '70s. The family car was the big block 600 4-dr. They had a transverse alloy water-cooled 4 and I think, rubber springs. I had no idea about the motorsport history.

@HolmesTW @IndecisiveAuto It's a better drive than the mk1 version of the current MX-5, IMHO, and better looking inside and out. Makes a great noise too. Laughably sluggish in non-sport mode though.
