A new study uses data from a 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 model in 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 to train an artificial neural network to predict surgical alignment of a knee implant.

Had a very insightful session at #Stryker, diving into the Mako pre-planning workflow. Impressive to see how many possibilities are readily available, and how such a robotic system can advance joint replacement giving more freedom for personalization.

Co-chaired the examination committee for the BSc mechanical engineering conference today. And I'm especially proud of my student, who did an excellent job presenting his work on defining a physiologically based pressure modulus for knee cartilage used in musculoskeletal modeling.
