Well 1 final tournie to look forward to Tuesday! What a year its been the highpoint being winning U11 Midlands Championship in the JPL. Boys development has been great. Super to see 3 boys get opportunities at Academy reserve level, 8 boys at Elite level and 2 boys at PDC/RDC.
No our 1st @jpluk has come to a close congrats to our top scorers in JPL matches. Not easy to unlock some top defences! Leo with 13, Zac with 9, Raheem with 8 and Oscar and Danny both with 6! Well done all and also to our mids, defense and GK who make the goals possible! β½
As Easter draws to a close well done to those boys invited to represent pro clubs in a mixture of fixtures, training & tours. We had a mix of Cambridge Utd Elite/RDC, Norwich City Elite/PDC, Peterborough Utd Elite and Ipswich Town Advanced. All a credit to the club πβ½
@RJPcoach @ricky_powers3 Personally I think it's useful as the first stage of a warm up for working on quality of passing technique and communication. Easy enough to progress this quickly to opposed once the quality of passing technique is secured.
@grpat @ch4lkster@DougieAnderso12@PaulHMcNeill @FootballGrf @FunFootballUK@yfst Well I suppose if it's a festival ideally it needs an organiser (who has some people skills) to circulate and have a quiet polite word to maintain standards. I suppose the issue is capacity to do that, as think it's more about education and re-enforcement rather than blame.
U9 - U11 SGP Elite Tour | We are off! This morning we left with our Elite boys, first stop was Leicester for a stadium tour at the King Power!

Lots of talk about small sided games always include plenty of those in training. Nice 5vs5 this Wednesday focusing on using the channels. However always like to use plenty of pitch width to make passing distances real for 9vs9.
@MyFootballCoach@CoachingFamily Well that's an interesting one you would assume all cat 1 Academy players would be more than capable of playing out. Maybe they had been set a challenge to play a different way and find solutions to make it work.
Teach players to control themselves emotionally. Undervalued and under-coached. Questioning referee decisions, arguing with opposing players and reacting to the good/bad moments during a game only lead to a loss of self-control and a decline in individual/team performance.
An u11 fixture vs @corbytownfc to look forward to Saturday. Various things going on for the boys over Easter but thankfully we have enough for Saturday!
Fantastic match between Midlands group winners! Ended up 2-2 but we went out 5-4 on penalties. Boys can really hold their heads up high top stuff! β½π
