One of my my favorite exercises for strengthening the hip flexors. Super simple but very effective. Iso KB holds. Love to add during these doing our GPP part of training. Give em a try. 👊🏾🔥
🗣 Starting doing a 10 minute post workout mediation period for @UAPBLionsWBB meditating after a workout reduces cortisol levels which tend to elevate when you’re exercising. Improve their mental state, recovery, and reduce pain they may be experiencing during practice
🗣 @UAPB_Softball Working through a dynamic lower body day focusing on fast explosive 3 reps on TBDL followed by a depth drop board jump for explosive horizontal movement 💪🏽
🗣 @UAPB_Softball emphasizing the importance of thoracic mobility followed by torso rotational corrections with a hint of shoulder/scapula activation 💪🏽

Routine we did today as we have been playing a lot this week
1. Rocking 90/90 (2x15)
2. SL RDL into hip gate (2x10)
3. Side lunge w/ iso hold (2x12)
4. Wall adductor opener (2x1 minute hold)
5. Fire hydrant (2x15)
I’m serious about recovery for our athletes. Got little at a time of foam rollers and resistance bands especially for our workouts. Needing lacrosse balls next 💪🏽
French Contrast with @UAPBLionsVB
TBDL 4x3, Banded Assisted Jumps 4x3, Weighted DB Jumps 4x3, and Plyometric Jumps 4x3. Lots of high energy today!! They love the WR 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I’m convinced a lot of strength coaches come up with elaborate warmups and speed programs to prove their validity, when in reality you could literally just jump, squat and sprint your athletes to more efficient speed gains. Save the 8 exercise speed program, get athletes strong.
If you aren’t box squatting your athletes regularly your probably losing out on better sprint times, jump heights, strength outputs, and decreased athlete fatigue.
