Shocking 44-Year Study on 5,000+ Men: Cannabis Users Show LESS Age-Related Brain Decline Than Non-Users!

Conclusion: In this large, long-term study of more than 5,000 men, there was no evidence that cannabis use harms brain function as people age. In fact, users had a small advantage in how little their thinking abilities dropped over time.

Key Findings: Men who had ever used cannabis showed slightly less brain decline over those 44 years compared to men who never used it. (On average, non-users lost about 6.8 IQ-like points, while users lost a bit less.)

More Details on Use: Even among cannabis users, starting young or using it frequently didn't lead to more brain decline.
