[रक्षा मंत्री कार्यालय/ RMO India @DefenceMinIndia]

@RuchiSinghTalks At one time, Armed Forces were not a career, they were a "Way of Life".
The rot set in when they became a "Career". In good old days, the ultimate ambition was to command one's battalion. That was the Apex. And how good that ambition was.

To people who call the toll that the harsh life of the Indian Amey ‘Life style’ disease- these are the costs an officer bears for serving the nation. The nation should reimburse this cost instead of taxing it. #KeepDisabilityPensionTaxFree

[The Ruchi Connect @RuchiSinghTalks]

This is a very critical issue that needs to be highlighted more as it adds to the stress of the Army officers already stressful life. #KeepDisabilityPensionTaxFree #IndianArmy

@nsitharaman @PMOIndia @rajnathsingh #KeepDisabilityPensionTaxFree Protect the soldiers heart, spirit and mind to get best performance. Don't degrade, demoralise and humilate soldiers and veterans by withdrawing tax exemption on disability pension .

[Cherukat Babu Bhaskar @CherukatB16073]

Disability pension stands as a gesture of national gratitude. Taxing The disabled soldiers by the Govt amounts to "tax on valour" and an "insult to sacrifice."

@RuchiSinghTalks Our Govt should desist from withdrawing Income Tax Exemption on the Disability Pension of our Brave disabled Soldiers who continued to serve the Nation (until their Retirement) despite their bodily disabilities which were attributable / aggravated due to Military Service.

[The Ruchi Connect @RuchiSinghTalks]

Stop shaming our officers for the physical toll their service takes on their bodies.

The Indian Army doesn’t have a fitness problem. The critics have a spine problem.
I stand with the Indian Army. 🇮🇳

🚨In your world, a lifestyle disease is from sitting too long at a brunch. In the Indian Army, it’s the metabolic cost of courage. Just sharing a few so called ‘Life style’ diseases of the Indian Armed Forces.

While the Lutyens gang is busy grading "fitness" from their AC cabins, our officers are paying the physiological bill for defending a nation that barely understands the cost.

Sir the life style for soldiers are to face the challenges of enemy with courage and conviction with almost half the strength of officers posted in unit , serving in Siachen glacier. No match to this service. Have no tax on disability pension

The "very biased" Indian Express is busy peddling a PAC report claiming 40% of retiring officers with disability "does not speak well" for Army fitness

The Public Accounts Committee has said that “40% officers retiring with disability” and about 20% of those on the ground having lifestyle diseases “does not speak well for the armed forces where physical fitness is a mandatory requirement.”
