@danorlovsky7@jgreen3641@AhmanGreen30@ReggieBush@Vikings@gmfb I’ve always believed the OLine is like the suspension on a car and the skill positions QB, RB, & WR are the engine. Don’t matter how strong and/fast the engine is, if you can’t keep that car on the road, you aren’t going anywhere
The best tribute ever.
On this day, in 2001, we said goodbye to George Harrison.
After 3 years of his death, in 2004, Harrison was inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
This was the tribute performance to him by Prince, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, and his son Dhani Harrison.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
How can we forget this song you created?
The powers that be at UConn NEED TO COMMIT to take all the necessary steps towards obtaining an AAU membership invitation PERIOD! While it does not a guarantee joining the B1G, it certainly puts the university in the best position when an opportunity does arise. While the Univ. of Nebraska it not a member now, they were when they joined the B1G. And in recent years, they have taken action to position themselves to rejoin the AAU.

People say Coach Mora left because UConn is not in a power conference. As an independent football team we are already close to where we need to be. This season we went 9 and 3 and all three losses came in overtime on the road. Flip those results and you are talking about an undefeated independent in the national playoff conversation. I do not believe Mora leaves UConn if that is the position we are in.
I know some UConn fans think the answer is to jump into a power four conference like the ACC or Big 12. I disagree. We risk losing what makes us special. I think our best path is to stay independent in football and in the Big East for all other sports, or wait for a true fit like the Big Ten or a future regional realignment that actually makes sense. Being independent should not be looked at as a negative. Notre Dame has been doing it at the highest level for as long as I can remember. Since leaving the Big East, programs like Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Boston College have not matched their former Big East level of basketball success in their new leagues. UConn came back to the Big East and won back to back national titles. The evidence says our best basketball life is in the Big East, not chasing a league that hurts the sport we dominate.
Realignment has also created a travel mess for Olympic sports. There is no reason for a women’s soccer or volleyball team to fly across the country on a Saturday just to play a regular season conference match. Staying in the Big East keeps basketball at the center of who we are and avoids the worst of the cross country travel burden that hurts athletes and drains budgets.
The State of Connecticut and its leadership also need to treat UConn differently. Other states spend hundreds of millions of dollars on stadiums and support for NFL, NBA and MLB franchises. UConn is Connecticut’s professional team in basketball and football. The university has delivered revenue, national visibility and identity to this state for decades. If we want to compete nationally in football as an independent the State of Connecticut must make a real commitment to offset the expenses, including facilities and long term planning, and I believe it is imperative that we build a true on campus football stadium in Storrs. We should also work with ESPN in our backyard to support the flagship university. We need to make sure our elected officials are supporting the university and our athletic program. As fans, alumni and donors we have the lobbying power to make that happen.
