Earlier this week, Honors CD students traveled to FWES to teach 4th grade students about our hydroponic farm. After learning about the farm, 4th graders used basil from the farm to make a basil & garlic infused olive oil.

We were too busy having fun last night to take pictures, but we did take a quick video of our art show setup! Each Head Start student had a display, guests could craft or plant, and our #hydroponic farm made its public debut. It was a great night! @ForkFarms @FluxSpace_io @MCIU

@MCIU Head Start planted these seeds back in March! Earlier this week, they took some of the fresh lettuce pictured home to share with their families. 🥬

Lettuce harvest ✅ We were able to send our @MCIU @HeadStartgov class home with four heads of lettuce each. Thank you, @UpperDubSuper, @UDHSCardinals, @ForkFarms, @FluxSpace_io, Mr. Michener, @GiantFoodStores in Maple Glen, and all of the students who made this happen!
