Louisville KY native, Extension agent, grad student, mediocre golfer, washed up weightlifter, former golf course superintendent. Lover of all things turfgrass.
In the words of John Wayne "This is getting to be re-goddamn-diculous". How much more evidence do we need in regards to usefulness of traditional soil test interpretation methods for turf systems? They're not useful at all and they're extremely wasteful...full stop.ποΈ

It's not a legit @MidAtlGCSAA First Green event until @MikeFidanza shows up with the cheese balls. Best prop ever to demonstrate air porosity of soils!
@Mateer4Heisman_ @patrickjkoenig The modern game of who? Is it too short for pros? Sure. For the overwhelming majority of golfing public. Absolutely not
@caddietales What's bullshit is that these corporations pawn their payroll responsibilities off onto the customer. Instead of paying a decent wage, they make it the customers responsibility. Simply nonsense
@flowbeans22@kennethdclayton I thought for sure you'd have a booth. Being next year is the 50th anniversary of the conference, it is highly probable that I will be back.
It was an absolute pleasure to return to my alma mater and present my research to old (and new) friends and colleagues. Thanks Kenneth for the invitation! A bit surreal because for years my butt was in those seats listening. #fullcircle
@SouthwestAir first time complainer, long time (dedicated) user, but this whole assigned seat thing is a fiasco. Boarding now is just awful and the experience is a huge downgrade. Instead of being the best, you're mediocre at best.
First photo is my in-laws home where this was pure St. Aug a couple years ago. They aren't here much and water is neglected. It has rapidly been overtaken by Bermudagrass. Same goes for the second photo where water is sparse and traffic is high. Super interesting stuff!!!
Coastal Peru is one of the driest places on earth, especially around Lima Annual rainfall is ~0.5"/year. Dominant sod sold in Peru is St. Augustine and wherever water is withheld or neglected it is quickly overtaken by Bermudagrass. Bermudagrass is a far better option for lawns.
