I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this because Travis Etienne is scoring fantasy points.

But it's not at all obvious to me that he's playing better than Bhayshul Tuten right now.

Per @FantasyPtsData:

Etienne - 0.17

Etienne is getting 3.29 yards BEFORE contact per attempt, the most in the NFL (min. 20 carries).

65% (9th-most) of Tuten's yards have come after contact vs. just 46% of Etienne's (8th-fewest of 48 qualifiers).

Obviously, RB efficiency isn't that stable in such small samples, and it doesn't mean there's any guarantee of Tuten getting more work.

But "Etienne is actually so much better!" is the wrong takeaway, IMO.

It should really be "The Jaguars' offensive line ranks top-3 in adjusted yards before contact per attempt, and is playing amazingly well."

Most RBs would be smashing here, and it underscores just how high Tuten's upside is here if anything were to happen to Etienne, or if he were to earn more work.

@WillieKnowsBall @___CBK Perennially injured, but usually not season ending. Pretty consistent 13-14 games played. Either way, if you're the type to victory lap an injury, probably shouldn't be as critical about your favorite streamer liam
