I’ve posted this before but Seattle could really use a centralized Yimby org right now — one that is singularly focused on rezones. Well funded & staffed up.
We need this for the comp plan work desperately. -LL
Big news: @SierraClubWASt is hiring a transportation and housing organizer! If you're a big zoning reform nerd or passionate about clean and equitable transportation policy, this might be for you!
(Too bad I don't know any zoning nerds...)

In Seattle, you can report illegal camping with an app. And then check out City Hall's new dashboard to see when the encampment has been cleared https://t.co/11i6VABUco
Seattle cops are delaying or failing to take reports from people who show up to Harborview Medical Center to report a rape, @lewiskamb reports.
This is in addition to what @kuow/ @seattletimes reported Wed. about many investigations not being pursued.

The way our society treats survivors of rape is horrendous.
It took more than a year for someone to get back to me after I reported my rape. It was horrible just waiting. I felt completely helpless and ignored. Now Seattle won’t even investigate new rapes??? Wtf
In 2014 I waited for hours in the North precinct for officers to take my report. The indifference is not new. They refused to even test my rape kit, so I passed a law to make them. Now they are not even pretending to care. Survivors deserve better.
Gerry Pollet has been a disaster for the 46th LD. Just this year he killed the missing middle bill that would’ve gone far to address the housing crisis
Lets send @Hadeelfor46 to Olympia instead of Pollet

We need the state to act on housing, and to do so we need housing champions. We're lucky to have one running in @Hadeelfor46!
If you can, give her some $. Interested in endorsing? Can volunteer time? Do those, or just follow and get to know her🚄🛖🚲

This is what the U District should look like *right now* and exactly how we should be planning the areas around our new light rail stations, but instead we’re putting stations next to highways and single family houses.
