Transition presents the opportunity to increase our resilience (ability to overcome difficulties). To increase resilience, we must bounce back as well as go through change and adversity. How has the process of change made you more resilient?
Yesterday marked the end of Spring. Fall and Spring are recognized as transition seasons, as they
display patterns of the previous season as well as patterns of the upcoming season. Now that it’s
SUMMER, it’s important to reflect on ways in which WE transitioned.
The only constant in life is change.”-Heraclitus. Given that many of us are slowly returning to in-person responsibilities, for the month of June, we would like to focus on the topic of transition, known as the process of changing.
Leisure activities that involve others are starting to exist again and we may be both excited and a bit nervous how to go about them. We can decrease some of this anxiety by checking in with ourselves about how we feel and our comfort levels so that we can make room for the fun.
Adapting to family demands and responsibilities can cause some uncertainty. It might be helpful to have a conversation with our loved ones about these changes and how we can support one another.
Today we will focus on adaptability in the workplace. For many of us, how we work has evolved. Being open and planning ahead for the new responsibilities that may come up at work can help alleviate some of the pressure. What type of things you plan for?
This month we will be talking about adaptability. For some of us, we may be transitioning to in person activities whether it is for work, family, or leisure. So, we want to share with you some helpful tips of better managing this adjustment. How are you doing so far?
Your ability to focus may stem from your current commitments and time. Write out a list to prioritize what needs to be done first. This may help you decide what can be done next! Do one thing at a time! #ProACTiveMondays
For this Focus post for our weekly #ProACTiveMondays, start by clearing your mind by deep breathing with your eyes closed. After 3 breaths, open your eyes and focus on what you have right in front of you. Anything of interest?
Hello April! This month we are encouraging you to think about what YOU want to focus on. This can be any area of your life that you feel could use some extra attention as we enter the spring season. #ProACTiveMondays
To wrap up this month we would like to highlight that the ability of accepting is a long-term path. Acceptance is not about passiveness but to recognize that there will always be things out of our own control and that our reactions to unexpected events can be reframed.
Acceptance also involves self-compassion! Sometimes things are not happening in the way you expected, but it doesn’t mean you are a failure. You are not your life circumstances so accepting that things can go wrong makes you realize all the good things you still have inside you.
