Yesterday, the Government of Jamaica welcomed the arrival of relief supplies from the United Kingdom. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government and people of the UK for their timely and support during this challenging period.

Relief operations are fully underway. Supplies are being sorted, mobilized, and distributed across the island to assist families and communities affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many areas have already begun receiving critical aid, including food, water, medical items, and temporary shelter materials.

We are aware that several communities remain isolated or are difficult to access due to damaged infrastructure. I want to reassure the Jamaican people that every effort is being made to reach them. Through coordinated efforts by the JDF, JCF, ODPEM, and local authorities, we are deploying relief by land and air.

We are ensuring that every Jamaican receives the help they need. No one will be left behind.
