One month ago today, two devastating earthquakes struck southern Turkey and northwest Syria.
The UK immediately sent our International Search and Rescue and Emergency Medical Teams and urgent relief supplies such as tents and blankets.
Our assistance efforts have not stopped.
The @UKEMT has set up a tent clinic near Gaziantep, next to a hospital damaged in the earthquake, and has started treating patients.
The UK Government-funded team, which includes NHS medics working alongside Turkish staff, will treat people who have suffered traumatic injuries.
A Emergency Medical Team of 11, funded by the UK government left Brize Norton for Turkey this afternoon.
Equipped with a field clinic, the team will provide urgent care to those who suffered injuries in the earthquake which has hit Turkey and Syria.
