What an unusual coup. You do a deal with a local MP where you get his job with the prospect he can then work for you, causing £5m in by elections. You then topple the Prime Minister, and decide - before you're even in charge - to move the country's seat of power to... your own back yard in a *£1 billion* campus you and two of your friends have 'been working' on 'for a long time'. And the friends you worked on that with? One of them was deputy to the guy you just toppled, with the full inside track, and the other you're currently trying to help into your old job.

To avoid breaking Labour’s manifesto pledge on income tax, VAT and NI, he thinks he’s found a clever workaround! whack more tax on warehouses.

Except warehouses are part of the supply chain.

So the cost gets passed on through goods, deliveries, storage, fulfilment and distribution.

Meaning this isn’t really a tax on “big business”.

It’s a tax on the public, increasing the cost of living! … he just hopes you won’t notice.

I'm getting bored of being governed by successive venal narcissistic dribblers. People who think it is better to index benefits than tax allowances, that undocumented young men are more deserving of State spending than our armed forces. Who think the greatest crime is to notice that different cultures have different values and all fall some way short of the English. That there is an optimal number of bats, which we have exceeded and they dont need fucking tunnels.

Devolution is calamitous, as the SNP have shown.

It creates satellite governments who have no incentive to do their jobs properly, as they can blame Westminster and shake it down for money.

It encourages corruption as there is less oversight and more cronyism when government is dispersed.

It contributes to national disharmony as devolved parliaments fight back against central government and politicians use their "difference" as a rallying call to voters.

You'd think politicians would know this by now after the calamity of Tony Blair's devolution, until you realise that politicians benefit and profit from disaster, corruption and disharmony.
