One of our dogs, Dallas, had prostate cancer for years and was given 3 months to live...in 2022. He died in my arms this morning. I'm so glad he went at home, and that we didn't have to decide to euthanize, as we were planning to today. But it sucked. He's not hurting anymore.

@usfcardsfan I'm 1.5 years sober after being diagnosed with cirrhosis. I have to keep my mind and hands busy. But knowing that another drink might be the one that does you in makes the decision a little easier to make. Some people use AA, but it just reminded me of alcohol.

@wheels0218 @Believe_culture I smoked for 10 years, daily after about the first 2 years. I used to love being high...everything was just immediately better after smoking. I then quit for 3 yrs, now smoking gives me insane paranoia. Like unable to function, full re-re paranoia. I don't get it. Not fun at all.
