I have watched Yusuf Aliyu’s video repeatedly, and each time, my heart breaks.
A child with such intelligence, clarity and confidence should be in a classroom building his future—not struggling for survival in a community surrounded by gold but buried in poverty.
I cannot look at him and see an “illegal miner.” I see a Nigerian child failed by the country that should have protected him. I see brilliance trapped by poverty and enormous promise abandoned by leadership.
I appeal specifically for his safety. His courage must not expose him or his family to intimidation or retaliation. I am prepared to support his education and ensure that the brilliance we have witnessed is not buried by poverty. Any effort to reach him must be handled responsibly through his family and appropriate child-protection channels.
But this video raises a question that should trouble the conscience of every Nigerian: how can a community sitting upon gold remain so poor that it cannot educate its children? How can its wealth leave the soil while hunger and deprivation remain in its homes?
This is an indictment of the Tinubu administration. The Federal Government controls Nigeria’s mineral resources, yet the communities producing that wealth remain without schools, opportunities or protection.
The contrast is revealing. President Buhari established PAGMI to register, train and integrate artisanal miners into the formal economy, with Niger State included among its intervention states. Tinubu inherited that framework but has met these vulnerable citizens with raids, detention and the label “illegal miners.”
Buhari saw people to formalise. Tinubu sees poor people to criminalise.
This boy is evidence against the Tinubu government. His intelligence exposes the opportunities it has failed to provide. His poverty exposes the injustice of Nigeria’s mining economy. His presence at that site exposes an administration that has left brilliant children without a ladder out of deprivation.
The government must explain what became of PAGMI in Niger State and how 37 Nigerians died in the custody of a federal agency. Calling them “illegal miners” cannot erase their humanity or excuse their deaths.
As a father, a grandfather and a Nigerian, I refuse to look away. I will continue to speak for these children because their lives matter, their dreams matter and their future belongs to Nigeria.
The gold beneath their community should build classrooms and livelihoods, not graves. —AA

CG Musa was also the Commandant of the Army Depot in Zaria during the Army-IMN clash in December 2015, which claimed the life of hundred of Shiites.
He is now acting brand new!
If not for El-Rufai, wallahi, by now Kaduna would probably have turned into Jos in terms of religious crisis.
I hate delving into religious issues because I strongly believe there are good Christians among us, some of them are even our mutuals. Islam also teaches us to live peacefully with our Christian counterparts.
However, what CG Musa said in that interview is deeply concerning and to me, portrays a disturbing level of religious bias. I urge the Kaduna State Governor to caution him against making such reckless statements, because he may not fully understand the consequences that comments like that can have in a sensitive state like Kaduna.
What exactly does he mean by “our people”? A whole Minister of Defence making such a statement is deeply troubling. At a time when we should be promoting unity, especially in a state with Kaduna’s history.
The atrocities committed by Christopher Musa people against Muslims in Kaduna state. Including a retired Christian Major General(Zamani lekwot) went as far as building a team just to slaughter innocent Muslims.
CALL FOR RESIGNATION:
This man, CG Musa, was born and brought up in Sokoto State and spent most of his youthful years within a predominantly Muslim community. The Muslim community gave him shelter, supported him, and welcomed him.
Yet, his recent interview has raised serious concerns about his choice of words and the mindset behind them, particularly his reference to “our people.”
As a senior military officer, we expected that, as part of military orientation and training, there should be no room for religious or ethnic differences. The military is supposed to be an institution that brings Nigerians together, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, region or background.
So for that, as a concerned citizen, I am passing a vote of no confidence, I call on CG Musa’s immediate resignation as the Minister of Defense.

Exposing Mr. Verydarkman
(Western Anti Islamic propaganda Machine)
VeryDarkman is rented by enemies of Islam to contribute in spreading falsehood against Muslims and Islam.
Two decisions taken by Mr. VeryDarkman shows he is now on the payroll of those bankrolling the spreading of lies and propaganda against Islam and Muslims in Nigeria.
The surfacing of Mr. VeryDarkman in Jos, Plateau State to call for retaliatory attacks against Muslims for killings that affected both Muslims and Christians in Plateau State is deeply concerning and dangerous, especially coming from a public figure with massive influence. Such actions, critics argue, are reckless, inflammatory, and capable of worsening already fragile tensions if not properly checked and addressed.
Just of recent, for using his social media handles to promote the fabricated lies of Islamization agenda in Nigeria, he has been widely accused of deliberately amplifying narratives that lack credible evidence and contribute to misinformation, suspicion, and division across the country.
Knowingly, Mr. VeryDarkman, a content creator with over a million followers claiming to be an activist, in reality is on the payroll of those targeting the demonization, criminalization and stigmatization of Islam and Muslims in Nigeria, according to strong allegations made by critics who insist his content is not neutral activism but targeted propaganda designed to influence public perception.
For those who don’t know, there is a conspiracy being sponsored targeting the Fulani and the Muslims in Nigeria by some internal forces in collaboration with some foreigners where the bankrolling is believed to be coming from. This is part of wider concerns being raised in public discourse about coordinated misinformation campaigns and targeted narratives affecting national unity and stability.
Not only Mr. VeryDarkman, there are many content creators in the country who are among the rented unscrupulous elements using their social media handles spreading fabricated lies, fake news and propaganda against Muslims in Nigeria. This growing trend has raised serious alarm about the misuse of social media platforms and the urgent need for accountability, regulation, and public awareness.
I hereby urge all peace-loving Nigerians to reject and critically scrutinize content from Mr. VeryDarkman and others who are seen as targeting Muslims in the country. I also call on relevant authorities to investigate such individuals and ensure they are held accountable where there is evidence of misinformation and content capable of inciting division in the country.
Thank be God for the abducted school principal coming out to debunk the lies being promoted by Mr. VeryDarkman and others that those behind the abduction of school children and their teachers in Oyo State are asking for the implementation of Sharia law in Oyo State and also requesting billions in exchange for freeing the children and other abductees. This clarification is seen as an important correction to misleading narratives circulating online and a reminder of the need for verification before spreading sensitive claims.
Berom Christian women reportedly mobilized to protest and attack a military checkpoint in Barkin Ladi. following the arrest of several Berom Christians terrorists and the discovery of an illegal arms-manufacturing site, where weapons and ammunition were being produced.
Let not forget that they burned one military Check point in Riyom and killed a soldier last month, the same soldiers that massacred Muslims in Zaria for protesting.
On May 2, 2004, the Yelwa massacre in Plateau State reached its peak, as Christian terrorists launched an attack on the town of Yelwa, resulting in the deaths of over 630 people, extensive property damage, and causing massive displacement. This event remains a significant and tragic milestone in Nigeria's sectarian conflicts.
After months of tension and previous attacks, May 2 stood out as one of the deadliest days in the conflict between Christian and Muslim communities in Plateau State. Hundreds of Muslims were slaughtered, b4rn alive, some were abducted by the Christians disguised in army uniform to an unknown location, some were dumped alive in well, leading to an escalation of the security crisis and the intervention of the federal government.
The Yelwa-Shendam crisis is one of a series of long-standing conflicts that have plagued Plateau State, necessitating special security measures such as the "Operation Safe Haven" task force.
We are calling on the authorities to take action against this individual; he is one of those blocking the Mangu road and killing innocent Muslim travelers. Yesterday, while on their mission to kill Muslims, they attacked the Sarkin Angas (the King of the Angas people) and smashed his vehicle.
After some members of the Angas ethnic group came out to PROTEST, stating they would take action against the Mangu terrorists, this individual appeared in the comment section claiming they didn't realize the King was one of them.
He further claimed they apologized to him yesterday and that the King even gave them money on his Facebook account . This indicates that the prominent figures in Jos are the ones sponsoring the terrorism and the killing of innocent Muslims Travellers in Plateau State.

If you’re a Northerner and a Muslim planning to vote for someone who has called for the church to take back its country and to send Muslims out of Anambra, then I’m not sorry to call you a fool.
Reports have emerged indicating that some Christians youths in Mangu LGA of Plateau State, blocked the road to intercept Muslim travelers of Hausa-Fulani extraction.
According to reports, these travelers were being taken into nearby neighborhoods and extrajudicially killed along the Mangu-Jos highway. A driver who witnessed the scene alleged that the incident occurred in the presence of security personnel. Furthermore, video footage has surfaced showing some of the youths armed with guns.
