Gianni Infantino surely cannot survive as FIFA president now. UEFA, AFC and CONCACAF have begun preliminary discussions about the possibility of organizing competitions among themselves to ensure that players can continue to compete - such as in the Women’s Under-20s World Cup which starts in less than a month - and are not impacted by the ongoing crisis surrounding Gianni Infantino.
The message from the three confederations to Infantino is very clear. He is being given the opportunity to resign and leave his position with dignity. He has the opportunity to go now and should not seek re-election in March. Because the pressure, the heat and the headlines are not going away. Change has to come. Infantino has to go.
Phakel’umthakathi knows how ill-mannered Ngizwe Mchunu is. He almost beat him when he tried his shenanigans during Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s funeral.
Him Phakela and Jacinta have a common course. It’s okay to love and welcome him during the demonstrations and whatever but they must thread carefully around him.
He doesn’t rate United. He’s always put himself first. He flexed his abs after scoring against us, begged to leave, was happy to join City until we intervened, walked off the pitch because he didn’t start a game, ran to Piers Morgan to cry about the club. He’s a bitch.
The Minister's submission conflates legal concepts to reach conclusions the law does not support.
Allow me to assist you Minister.
A FAILED extradition is not a finding of guilt or innocence.
The UAE court found South Africa's extradition request legally deficient. It relied on a cancelled warrant for one charge, no warrant for another, and held that the alleged money laundering fell within UAE jurisdiction. Fact.
Just in case you confuse these things; an extradition court only determines whether the legal requirements for surrender have been met. It does not decide innocence or guilt.
The Minister also treats the status of the Interpol Red Notice as settled when the State itself has adopted inconsistent public positions on whether it remains in force. In any event, a Red Notice is an administrative policing mechanism, not proof of guilt.
Describing the UAE court's judgment as a "procedural technicality" without identifying any legal error is not legal analysis. It's political rhetoric.
If you contend that the judgment was wrong, explain why in law.
Likewise, the re-enrolment of the Nulane prosecution following the acquittal in Bloemfontein HC, changes nothing about the UAE extradition ruling. Those are separate legal processes with separate legal consequences.
Most embarrassingly, the Minister fails to distinguish between Ajay Gupta,(whose presence in the pilgrimage with President Zuma) prompted the outbursts in your presser, and the extradition proceedings concerning Atul and Rajesh Gupta.
They are indeed brothers, but they are not interchangeable.
Your entire tirade is misplaced
Serious allegations especially by a whole Cabinet Minister require factual precision, not generalisations.
The rule of law demands legal accuracy, not political rhetoric dressed up as analysis.
Ministers have a constitutional duty to state the law correctly.
This weak and incoherent submission does not.
Ronaldo scored against Manchester United for Juventus and literally pulled his shirt off to flex his abs in our faces.
He called his United contract "modern slavery" to force a Real Madrid move. He disrespected the badge multiple times.
And you expect me to revere him more than a man like Bruno Fernandes who gives his absolute soul for the club every single week? Hell nah. The agenda is dead
Qatar has held a World Cup where everyone who could afford to attend attended, wait till it's the USA hosting and they will have visa restrictions even on the players themselves 😂.
I don’t remember Afriforum ever being threatened like this but the amount of treasonous things they have done are amazing! Nobody has ever asked them who they are? Or questioned why they get airtime on tv but dare it be a black person… If we were to run to the White House today like they did, we would never hear the end of it but if it’s Afriforum they don’t have the guts to call them out!!
