Systems of power contribute to the privilege of some and the marginalization of others. Throughout the month of July, we will examine some of these systems to learn how we can deconstruct them in order to prevent violence against those marginalized.
The Men's Project began as a program designed to educate a small cohort of students about healthy masculinities and encourage them to discuss aspects of identity and intersectionality in order to deconstruct the unhealthy aspects of our ideas and identities.
Recently, staff at Student Wellness have transitioned Men's Project to become a peer education program that seeks to train individuals on campus about systems of violence and oppression and lead conversations about how we can develop healthier masculinities and identities.
