Imagine referring to an account as a affiliate to a particular political group for saying that “Redskins” is an injustice to Native people and for explaining where America has wronged Natives for giving them citizenship in the 20s on a land they lived on before us.

The tweet is a replication of what was posted on the UNCP NAACP page. The tweet said “may get violent”, which is not a lie, considering there were rifles lining the streets. So far, no permit has been issued for Friday AND it’s not organized by UNCP students. Where is the lie?

The Chancellor has nothing to do with this account. While we are on the subject, whether you’re Native or not, you shouldn’t be promoting the name “Redskins”. Especially if your @ name is going to say “We the People” when Natives were considered “citizens” in 1924.
