Restoring safe drinking water as families return home matters most for the youngest.
ICMR has warned that contaminated drinking water after a flood poses a real risk of illness and that young children are the first to be affected.
Restoring and disinfecting water sources, and testing the water at schools and Anganwadi Centers before children drink from it is the most urgent job right now.
