Refugees, hosts, Govt. officials, & partners came together for a Solidarity Walk in Kakuma to mark #WorldRefugeeDay 💙.
The walk was both a call to uphold the right to seek safety and a moment to recognize the generosity of Kenya and the people of Turkana for welcoming refugees.
The right to seek safety becomes meaningful when people are welcomed, included, and allowed to rebuild.
As we mark #WorldRefugeeDay, we thank the Government of Kenya, host communities, and partners for creating opportunities for refugees and keeping the promise of safety alive.

At the Infectious Diseases Unit, at @KNH_hospital, emergency medical teams ran a full #Ebola simulation in a real isolation setting, practising how to screen and detect suspected cases, isolate safely, and deliver quality care.
More than 2,500 healthcare workers across Kenya have now been trained on #Ebola prevention and response. National trainers will cascade these skills to counties and sub-counties, while community health promoters are engaged to spot and report suspected cases early.
That readiness was put into practice in a simulation at the Infectious Diseases Unit, at @KNH_hospital.
