I'm a Brazilian who spent a semester studying at UNM and fell in love with New Mexico. Though not very long, my time in Albuquerque forever changed my life, and it'll never lose its meaning.
@SeanTraina Awesome!! That was my very first experience playing rugby and I carried on playing here in Brazil (also Argentina and Australia) haha Did you stop playing?
Wouldn't it be weird for you guys to hear, for example, the University of Wyoming women's sports teams being called the Cowboys? Well, that's how weird it sounds for Spanish-speaking people when UNM's women's teams are called the "Lobos" (male wolves).
I could only watch the first half. The impression I had was that the team felt they could win it easily any time they wanted. Problem is, apparently they didn't want that so much in the second half.
I have to say, I’ve been critical of Pitino in conference play but last night was not on him.
CJ, Phil, and Tru were a combined 4-23. No urgency to stop that final shot in the 1st half. Wild 3pt made by McClendon. And still only lost by 1.
This one isn’t on Pitino.
New Mexico Basketball reached a milestone today, welcoming our 1,500th member. It is the third-largest college basketball community on Twitter behind Bama Hoops and The Courtside Buckeyes. 🐺🏀 https://t.co/0eiKCHivgI
