is there anyone that got married to someone they donโt have feelings for initially but later developed feelings for the person? like loving someone because theyโre the only one available.
You may be right in that men are not polygamous in nature.
However, if you have drawn this conclusion based on what a guy that turned you down said then you may be missing some very important detail.
You look so young and possibly naive so let me let you in on a little secret about men.
Most mature men understand how difficult it is for a woman to approach a man, so when a woman does it and he is not interested, he would massage her ego while doing that.
Look at what he said to you, he said no to you in a way that left you feeling good.
That's maturity. It's the same thing Ayo did to that young girl that openly asked him out.
Now let me move on to another thing you may need to know. I understand you are looking for a man with money and you are not interested in a man with potential.
He needs to be already made.
It is within your right. No one should be criticized for their standards.
But you see, one of man's biggest fear is that a woman is with him for his money and not because she loves him.
So when you meet a man that is rich already, he is more likely to not just have you, because when he was struggling with the potential, that you have no interest in, you were nowhere to be found. But now that he has money, you have shown up.
Oh which takes me back to the man that turned you down, if he really was genuinely turning you down and not massaging your ego, it's most likely that that woman you said won in life was with him when he had nothing but potential.
So you are in a dilemma, you just don't realize it yet. But you are young, with time you will revisit this post or remember that one nice man that gave you this secret.
Let us leave out the usual not-so-subtle shaming tactics on display here for a bit
Everything she is whining about, women do it far more than men.
- Women like men but do not tell them
- Women like men but do not shoot their shot - after one rejection, they resolve to chew jeans than do it again.
- Sex toy stores sell out dildos and vibrators faster than akara on a rainy saturday morning
Nobody fights harder to hide attraction from the person they're attracted to like women
Nobody suppresses their own desires because they're obsessed with maintaining the appearance of being wanted rather than wanting, like women.
And that includes the person crying here.
I wonder what content is 'affecting' her and other women into behaving this way
Because as expected, she has never complained when women do it. Of course she hasn't; she does it herself. Much more than any man can imagine let alone match
The primary reason she's crying about men doing it, is because it deprives her of leverage.
You can't manipulate a man if he does not show his feelings for you. You can't play him if he refuses to put his emotional cards on the table.
That is the real gripe here.
So no, she isn't even criticising men at all. She is bitterly expressing her entitlement to leverage over men.
Because by the mere fact of possessing a vagina, she is used to men making their attraction to her obvious and therefore available for her consumption.
She has lived all her life seeing men announce their desire for her, after which she gets to decide what she wants to do with it; accept, reject, exploit, use for gist with the girls or enjoy the ego boost
So when a man chooses to not announce his desire, it becomes a big problem for her. Not because she wants him, but because she needs to know that he wants her.
HER SELF ESTEEM DEPENDS *ENTIRELY* ON THE KNOWLEDGE THAT MEN WANT HER.
So a man who refuses to make that knowledge available to her is essentially threatening her peace of mind.
That is the part she does not and cannot say out loud, but that I am helping her with because I am the voice of the voiceless.
Hence when you look beyond the moralising, faux concern for men and red pill dig, you will realise this is a cry for help
"Why won't you confess your feelings for me - feelings that I do not share and will not reciprocate, but feelings that I need to hear nonetheless to prop up my self esteem, feel desirable, and gain leverage to extract money, time, concessions and favours from you?"
100l i was sitting with babe in LT, she went to buy something and asked me to watch her sit. when she came back a guy was sitting already, i was politely telling the guy to stand up that itโs someone spaceโฆomo, the way d girl change am for d guy i just throwaway my face o๐๐ญ๐ญ
Women will openly tell men who they are and what they find repulsive but men will keep going around making excuses for them.
That girl at the end of the day is still a woman and she is feeling the exact same disgust that every normal woman would feel if her man was fooling like that on the internet.
Its even better for you to be known as Odogwu Asaba or a serial k!ller on the internet than for you to do what Odumodu Pink is doing.
Odumodu Pink did not ever believe in his life that a woman would ever find him attractive enough to be with him so he settled for a girl who was okay being friends with benefits with another man. In his eyes, the woman can do no wrong coz he believes he would never get another if this one leaves.
He will learn very bitter lessons about female nature. Its only a matter of time.
I honestly donโt think this was necessarily HRโs fault. It sounds more like there was a lack of alignment between the CEO and the HR.
If HR gave the candidate that salary range, they were most likely working with information provided by the company. So for the CEO to say what he said means they werenโt on the same page internally.
HR can be a bottleneck in some organisations, emphasis on some ๐คฃ but in this case, I think the bigger issue was the lack of alignment between HR and the CEO.
Take me back to January when I thought this year was going to be perfectโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ.
I want to agree in part and disagree in part.
Firstly, whether she is a good woman or not, is beside the point. If you choose someone, you have a responsibility to them to love and to cherish.
The whole point of relationship/marriage is to do life together. This means that everything we have and everything we are, is for our mutual benefit and for the benefit of this relationship/family. Worthy of note is that, it is the responsibility of a father to give their child good education. I'm putting myself in the position of a child and the position of a father - the answer is the same. It is whom you are, that you bring to the relationship to invest in your partner and the relationship.
It is dangerous to teach women that they should go into relationships looking for a man to sponsor their life. It is dangerous to teach men that they have a responsibility to train women in school. It is dangerous to tell parents that their daughters would be trained by the man who chooses to date them. Unintentionally, you are pushing for the ownership of women because when someone lives with the mentality that he has to carry all your responsibility and improve your life, he develops the mindset that he owns you, because you're not doing anything for him.
The advice you give to young boys are meant to be given to parents. Let us encourage responsible parenting. The whole point of relationship is to love, not to parent. Young men are already under a lot of financial pressure. Parenting is a live time responsibility. You don't retire from it.
Having said that, I'm always conscious of privilege. Not every parent has the financial capacity to train their kids to the highest level. If you willingly choose to date someone, you have a responsibility to them to love and to cherish, and that includes investing in their growth. If you choose an uneducated, partly educated, 1st degree holder, you can make the best investment that improves your partner and the overall wellbeing of the home because when your partner wins, you win. The major problem with that tweet is that, even by omission, we are teaching women that it is not their responsibility to invest in men. Woman also have a responsibility to invest in their man's growth and to do regular shopping for them. You can't tell the man to invest in his woman's education be suse he will benefit from it, while not telling women the same thing. Will the woman not benefit from investing in her man?
To love is to GIVE love and to RECEIVE love. Please love by GIVING and TAKING.
- Chimamanda Adichie
We need to teach NIGERIAN women to love and to give, because most relationships are already one sided and unrequited. That is not love.
this is insane. i genuinely don't understand why ambitious people aren't shown this lecture before their careers start consuming their entire lives.
clayton christensen spent his career studying why successful companies collapse. in his final class, he asked students to apply the theory to themselves: if you keep allocating your time the same way, what life are you actually building?
he had already seen the answer in his own harvard mba class. everyone looked successful at the fifth reunion; by the 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th, many were unhappy, divorced, and living far from their children.
work shows you the score immediately. close a sale, ship a product, finish a presentation, earn a promotion, get paid.
an hour with your child may produce nothing you can measure today; it may take 20 years to understand what that hour built. so the next free hour goes back to work, one rational decision at a time.
this is how people build lives they never planned: through hundreds of right decisions that lead in the wrong direction, day after day.
money, titles, and headcount are easy to count. christensen believed a life should be measured by the people who became better because you were there.
he died in 2020.
one question remains: if someone saw only where your time, energy, and attention went this year, what would they think actually mattered to you?
the full 19-minute lecture is in the video below.
@princeomar524@dhaboy01 same thing i wanted to say. nobody comes close to marty byrde. man was literally watching his wife sex tape while still married to her without any fuss.
