With a record-high 341 full papers submitted by authors from 39 countries, we are thankful (in advance) for the very hard work ahead for reviewers contributing to the review process.

Huge congratulations, Sergio, from your advisors Andres Osorio, Juan Hidalgo (@Juahime), Jero Carascal and David Lange (@David_Lange). Thanks to the examiners Michael Gollner (@gollnerfire) and Andres Valencia, and the chair of examiners Matt Mason. 2/2
Happy to share that Sergio Zárate defended his PhD thesis "Contribution of Convection and Radiation at the Preheating Stage during Fire Spread in Fuel Beds" today! Sergio's work explores the role of radiation and convection on flame spread in different fuel configurations. 1/
Ian’s work significantly advances our understanding of measurement errors in thermocouple readings in low conductivity materials. This, and Ian’s proposed correction method will help all who work towards improved fire safety in buildings of wood, bamboo or other bio products. 2/2
Elated to announce that Dr Ian Pope (@IanPopeFire) successfully defended his doctoral thesis on Solid-Phase Temperature Analysis and Correction for Multi-Scale Fire Experimentation. Many thanks to examiners Prof. Pascal Boulet & Dr Johan Sjöström and to chair @David_Lange. 1/
Very happy to share the first article from my PhD, published in the Fire Safety Journal. Thanks to all the co-authors for their constant support and insightful comments throughout this research @mmclaggan@David_Lange@juahime@UQFire

At UQ's open day we were fortunate enough to be able to talk to dozens of families about our work here. We also had the opportunity to show them what happens to timber that's charred when you continue to heat it - no surprises, it continues to burn and breaks if loaded!
We're delighted to be able to congratulate @luthramadhan on the positive outcome of his PhD viva! Huge thanks to the external examiners @ClaireMBelcher and Alex Filkov.
Dear All, workshops are one of the most exciting parts of @IAFSS conferences. We are looking to host all standing committees and a few other workshops at IAFFS23 in Tsukuba. We need your input - which topics do you prefer?

@BartMerci@ResearchUGent@ugent_fea Very happy to attend with @vguptafire , @David_Lange , and @Wiezmo to work with fantastic colleagues to tackle pressing global challenges on fire safety such as wildfires, inequality, and fire safety education. Thank you for hosting Bart!

Always a joy to work with our fantastic collaborators in Edinburgh and with @ArupGroup, especially on the important matter of fire safety for timber buildings. Simple engineering changes to adhesive and ply configuration double the load bearing time in fire.
New paper with alumnus and @UQFire’s @Wiezmo on heat transfer implications for CLT walls. Look out for choice of adhesive and ply thickness dictating capacity and failure after the fire has gone out! Free access for 50 days here https://t.co/Em43FJHDtP @lukebisby@rorymiles

Glad to share the latest paper from my PhD in @CTBUH! We consolidate, review and analyse data collected from almost every large compartment fire experiment between 1993 and now. The paper is open-access and FREE to download at: https://t.co/Denf2nvHk9

The latest paper from the Cladding Materials Library is now published in @CTBUH! This one explores the flame spread of cladding materials, and can be used create an initial fire risk classification to inform on areas of further investigation @UQFire https://t.co/yLrBeWR6OD
