Senior Officers and OC's from URNU Belfast honoured all those who have fought for our country on Sunday 9th. Held at Queen's University Belfast, and at a smaller chapel service, these services enabled us to reflect on those who have come before us, honouring their memory.
Two days of @ynrotc_lc programming saw our OCs participate in Q&A on panels on shipbuilding and the industrial base, special operations and several leadership addresses, with Genevieve Chase, James Hatch, RAdm (Ret’d) Philip Dur and RAdm Craig Mattingly. @RFCANI@RNinNIreland
Day 2 of @ynrotc_lc saw our OCs taking part in lectures alongside their NROTC counterparts. Later we toured the campus and visited the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript library and were allowed hands-on access to material from WW2 and the Napoleonic Wars. @QUBelfast@UlsterUni

URNU Belfast & Virtual has won the annual HMS DASHER award for Best URNU unit! Provided by the Knights of the around Table and presented by Dame Mary Richardson DBE, this exceptional honour reflects upon all who have worked hard to develop our young units over the last 3 years!
URNU Belfast visited HMS GANNET today to visit @825NAS. Officer Cadets received a thorough tour of a Wildcat helicopter, a presentation on the wide scope of Wildcat Ops globally and had an unparalleled opportunity to talk to naval aviators, arguably the finest of the species ⚓️😁
40 URNU OCs from Belfast, @VirtualURNU@URNUGlasgow and @EdinburghURNU learned some basic fieldcraft & survival this weekend at Ballykinler. Fighting through some truly awful freezing rain to complete leadership exercises, they also participated in a NEO Ex with @HMS_Hibernia ⚓️

Yesterday our Officer Cadets held our first ‘Pancake PLT’ or practical leadership task. The four teams battled valiantly for supremacy… but in the end there could be only one!!!
