@yElff_ You’re missing the point. The US is weak at soccer because most of our best athletes focus on other sports. Our pool of potential soccer stars is too small to begin with.
Given our population and athletic prowess, we would be #1 at soccer if we cared enough.
@StanL1Park@ByPJGreen Local college (FAU) organized it. It was first come, first serve, but they did it in the football stadium, so anyone who wanted got to go.
Baris: the WH called me and told me to lay off DJT's pollster, Tony Fabrizio, but I won't. Fabrizio has done a terrible job. He's manufacturing fake polls. He's not MAGA. He doesn't understand how the average American views politics.
@puckandrally Like DePaul, Northwestern, UIC, Chicago St, Loyola-IL, Lewis, U. Chicago, Aurora, Benedictine, Concordia-Chicago, Dominican, Elmhurst, Illinois Tech, North Central, Lake Forest, North Park, and Wheaton?
@neoliberal_hack Part of the ideology of the American left has become White men are the bad guys. So any White man who still willingly embraces said ideology is a fundamentally strange or disturbed individual. There's really no other two ways about it.
Mills and Platner are almost identical in head to head matchups v. Collins, but both trail a generic Democrat.
Janet Mills 52%
Susan Collins 48%
Vs.
Graham Platner 51%
Susan Collins 49%
Vs.
Generic Dem 55%
Susan Collins 45%
And the few actual old stadiums (Anfield, Hampden, Celtic, St. James) that would be under consideration have been reenovated so many times and so frequently as to be unrecognizable to those who saw them built in their original form.
These Brits just need a reson to complain.
If the UK hosts the World Cup say in 2042, here are some of the hollowed grounds full of history that would be top contenders to host:
Wembley (Est. 2007)
Hotspur (2019)
London (2012)
Ethiad (2003)
Emirates (2006)
HillDickinson (2025)
New Trafford (203?)
Stadium of Light (1997)
@Jayhayvzahlen@DefenseBaron It’s almost like a majority of the US are Christian, while all the others make up small percentages of the overall population.
