We were contacted by a woman in Germany who had these books. She sent them to us to return to Maryla. “It’s really amazing that she was reunited with these books,” Curator Suzy Snyder shared “In my 30 years here, I have seen this happen maybe twice.”

The day before his seventh birthday, Nazis ransacked Peter Ney’s home during Kristallnacht. They destroyed many of the family’s belongings, but Peter’s birthday gift, a model of the “Autobahn” [highway] was undamaged.

Remember this? Well this week that woman & her family not only got to finally visit @HolocaustMuseum to view these items in person, but they also donated the 1st diary he kept in the camps. It was awesome getting to meet everyone & receive this collection. Another very good day!
