Upper Sandusky grad Jon Diebler @J_Diebler is retiring from playing basketball. Ohio's HS all-time leading scorer with 3,208 points was a 2nd round NBA draft pick in 2011 after 4 years with Ohio State and played 9 years professionally (Greece, Turkey and Israel).

Honored to get 1st place in game stories and features and 2nd place in news stories in Division 3 and to finish as runner-up for writer of the year (if only I had more time for columns and investigative stories). Lots of honorees in north central Ohio. Congrats to all.

Among the stories I submitted were a few @USHSBasketball stories from the tournament run in 2020. Those games were crazy and it would have been hard not to produce good stories, especially with the cooperation I get from the coaches and athletes.
