@imjeremytho He doesn’t, actually, and his criticism of the MCU and DCU are really on point. But the basic gist is they spend the entire season tearing the most iconic Green Lantern apart, only to have him murdered by an angry female cop who suffers no consequences. It’s just asinine.
This is what kills a franchise.
“We gave you content. Shut up and consume! By the way, we’ve increased the price of your subscription.”
“But… it doesn’t even make sense. The main char—“
“We are… The Studio. Do you think you know better?! We decide what’s best. If you criticize it, you’re a bad fan. Oh, we had to increase prices again. You were watching on more than one screen.”
Fuck this nonsense.
Hollywood is out of control and has been for quite some time. And God forbid you voice any criticism… you deserve death?!
At this point, I honestly don’t care if it all goes tits up. At least we’d be spared the indignity of seeing characters and franchises we love being defiled on the world stage.
One of the hosts of DC’s official podcast is going viral for what he said about Lanterns critics.
Coy Jandreau, who co-hosts DC Studios Showcase: The Official Podcast, went off during a Reel Rejects discussion about the backlash to the finale.
“They can choke on their own tongues, dude.”
Then he went further:
“They’re not worth living and we’re overpopulated.”
Jandreau also called people online “embarrassments to carbon” and said there are “a lot of people that just shouldn’t… be.”
At another point, he joked about whether he would save someone from drowning if he thought they were an idiot.
"Maybe."
The comments came while he and Greg Alba were responding to people attacking Alba over his take on Hal Jordan and the Lanterns finale.
The clip is now spreading across X, with one viral post asking whether an official DC podcast host just said he wants Lanterns trolls dead.
This comes while the Lanterns backlash is still rolling, the show has the lowest Rotten Tomatoes fan score of any James Gunn DC project, and Clayface is already facing boycott calls.
CBN has reached out to HBO Max, DC Studios, and Skydance for comment.

Lanterns is a superhero show made by people who don't like superheroes for people who hate superheroes.
The only thing Damon Lindelof, Tom King, and Chris Mundy failed to do was have John Stewart whip out his weenie and piss on Hal Jordan's corpse.
Review coming soon to a YouTube near you.
@amazon This 🏻 It’s a win-win. You save money on horseshit laden woke nonsense and we get something much more valuable. Bonus: you STILL get that tax deduction!
@GeeksGamersCom@RedneckTauri Amazon, if you're going to do a complete reboot of the Stargate SG-1 series, you might as well stop right now and remaster the original series instead.
Perhaps because the writer did not care for, understand, or want to understand what came before, despite being handed the material. https://t.co/CHgvuvH117
@VeryFineWhine@amazon It’s very possible. And, you’re right. OUR Stargate had real diversity, the kind you didn’t have to even label—just human decency. The woke I’m talking about is the modern, fake, sellable diversity that took over Hollywood.
For anyone still hoping for some form of continuation under the newly appointed Stargate showrunner, @MichaelShanks effectively settled the matter in a recent podcast.
He said the @martingero series was cancelled because it still "smelled" too much like the original show. Amazon has made it clear they want a "fresh" perspective.
Shanks noted that the cancelled version had only a thin thread of connection to what came before, yet that was still enough for Amazon to reject it. He’s skeptical the new take will feel meaningfully connected to the existing franchise.
Bummer..

Mark my words: Blair Fetter and his superiors are going to regret how they handled the Stargate IP and its fandom. It might take a few years, but the chickens will come home to roost.
I'd expect nothing less from former Netflix executives, though. Such a shame... #SaveStargate
It’s not a real remaster. It’s a simple upscale with loads of artifacts and a horribly mastered “surround sound” mix that send a single L+R mix to each of the 5 channels. Even the DVD audio was better (an actual discrete surround sound mix) but, alas, in 480p. The Blu-ray suffers from overly strong edge smoothing, making most characters look artificial. It was a way to save money and cash in on the Blu-ray craze. I’d much rather rather have a proper 1080p (or 2160p remastered UHD) than a woke derivative shitshow.
@nBwQSzmg3qU2ysd It’s not racism. Respect for the culture of the country you’re in should be the minimum threshold to be allowed to stay.
If they don’t like it, they can pound sand.
@DrDude1985 To be honest, Dr. Who was a gut punch but this latest Stargate betrayal really alters how I view Hollywood, the studios and giving a shit about anything they make ever again.
Seriously, fuck anyone who thinks there’s a way to be supportive of this shitshow. Just fuck them.
I’m tired of Hollywood hypocrisy. I’m sick to death of these sycophants following along gushing over a genuine tragedy.
Get bent. Go to hell. They killed one of the best sci-fi franchises in history.
