This week, officers and staff from APD, UTPD, and Moody Center came together to participate in collaborative training exercises designed to enhance coordination and preparedness for large-scale events.
These joint training opportunities strengthen communication, teamwork, and preparedness across agencies to help ensure the safety of everyone attending events in our community.

A conversation, a check-in, or simply being present for someone can make a difference. Break the silence. Build connection. It takes a campus.

As we say goodbye to two valued members of the UTPD family, we want to recognize the lasting impact both have made through their service and dedication.
Inspector Michael McCarterโs commitment to professionalism, integrity, and accountability played an important role in supporting the mission of UTPD and serving the department behind the scenes with excellence.
Records Manager Shelley Adam was a constant source of organization, accuracy, and support for the department, ensuring reports, records, and case files were handled with care and professionalism every step of the way.
We thank them both for their contributions to the department and wish them continued success in the years ahead.
We are proud to recognize Officer Penny and Lieutenant Martinka (not pictured) as scholarship recipients through The 100 Club of Central Texas.
Officer Penny is currently continuing her education at The University of Texas at Austin, while Lieutenant Martinka is pursuing further education at Tarleton State University.
Congratulations to both on this well-deserved recognition and continued commitment to professional growth and learning.
This morning, UTPD joined students at Davis Elementary for โCareers on Wheels Day,โ where Officer Ramos and Inspectors McCarter and Ignal showcased the departmentโs patrol boat and spoke with students about water safety, public service, and how the boat supports law enforcement and water rescue operations on Texas waterways.
Thank you to Davis Elementary for inviting us to be part of such a fun and educational event. ๐ค๐ค

Building Emergency Plans (BEPs) help keep the UT community informed, connected, and ready when emergencies happen. From assembly points to emergency teams, preparedness starts before the emergency does.

Nearly all college students (93%) view mental health as vital to their overall well-being, yet 44% still fear being judged for seeking mental health support.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we're breaking that stigma. Your story matters, and sharing it could be the lifeline someone else needs.
Whether you're struggling or simply want to talk, support is available. It takes a Campus.

As #NationalPoliceWeek comes to a close, we thank the officers who serve communities across the country and work each day to help keep our campus community safe.
At UTPD, service extends beyond emergency response and enforcement, it also means building relationships, supporting students, and engaging with our campus community each day.
Thank you to all who serve. ๐ค
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experienced a mental health condition in the past year.
You are not alone in what you're feeling โ and you don't have to face it on your own. Reaching out to someone you trust can be the first and most powerful step toward healing.
If you're a student, faculty, or staff member in need of support, we're here for you. It takes a Campus:
