Why do some people bend over backwards to pretend Qatar hosting the World Cup wasn’t a much bigger abomination. It required mass modern day slavery and the deaths of thousands to host. The next one is going to be in Saudi Arabia. The problems the US have aren’t comparable.

They do know we are hosting the Euros in 2 years time right? All arguments they’re making fall flat when the next available major tournament is being hosted in the UK. I like NFL stadiums, I go to the US to watch games, but they’re no better than what we have here.
