Did you know? Roof rain gardens, or green roofs, capture stormwater through infiltration and reduce runoff while filtering out pollutants. As you stroll around campus, look out for roof rain gardens like those at Dell Medical School and the WCP Student Activity Center.

Did you know? Pervious pavers reduce erosion and improve stormwater quality by filtering runoff during rain events. Pervious pavers are used in several locations on campus to enhance stormwater quality including East Campus Garage and Graduate Student Housing.
The University of Texas at Austin will remain closed through Tuesday, Jan. 27. All classes and events on Tuesday are cancelled. All UT Austin facilities in Central Texas will be closed. The University will be open and return to normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Did you know? Bioswales are landscape drainage features that collect stormwater runoff, filter pollutants, reduce erosion and improve water quality. There are several at UT that help protect Waller Creek as well as provide beauty to campus.
