The most memorable theory covered in the course for me was the Communication Privacy Management Theory. The theory sparked my interest because of how much it applies to modern day relationships and media use. I enjoyed learning about co-ownership and mutual privacy. #UTcommtheory

The Agenda Setting theory is 100% still relevant. Platforms pay attention to users interests and study them. We are then fed content that relates to those interests. Even when we aren't necessarily searching for it, content related to our interest may pop up. #UTcommtheory

A recent example of media shaping the public agenda is a fake Kendrick Lamar diss towards Drake which had many people fooled. The creator of it came out admitting that it was all the power of AI. The accuracy of AI is really becoming scary. #UTcommtheory

I chose to research AMC. An interesting fact that I learned is that the company has over 244 theaters in Europe alone. The concept of concentrated media ownership is a joke to me, so I think this gif does justice for how I feel about it. #UTcommtheory

A way that COVID-19 negatively impacted modern communication because it caused a disconnect between communicating virtually and in real life for such a long amount of time. We weren’t able to interact with other humans, and were forced to use technology to do so. #UTcommtheory
