@jonahblake@metagrizz This is the real answer. Web2 gamers have no understanding of blockchain and 0 desire to learn because they've already decided it's bad. This only really applies to western gamers though. Not the case in most other parts of the world.
most nfts haters conflate the actions of bad actors with the tech stack. They don't understand what nfts actually are and they have no interest in learning. Ironically many also fear AI, and nfts are the only hard counter to AI generated deep fakes I can think of.
These creators pulling out of creator league will look so silly in 5 years. A blockchain is just a public database. Since when do gamers care about how data is stored? Real innovators will use the best available solution and nfts have real use cases.

@jonahblake Yes we are working a few ideas at @fractalwagmi . The issue you bring up is real. A lot of web3 gaming use cases for nfts and tokens have been lifted straight from web2 gaming. Web3 gaming will shine when we can show gamers cool shit that can ONLY be done with blockchain.
@SpikeReacts_ Tokens can exist in games when web3 games can compete with the best web2 games in terms of fun. Open economy models won't work if 90% of people are just playing to earn something. It needs to be more similar to WoW or RuneScape where most are playing for fun.
Getting tagged a lot recently re: how we wound down @shinsengokuNFT . It was a very difficult time. I made a lot of mistakes, I didn't know what to do but I tried my best to take care of as many people as I could. As time passes I feel more confident that we did the right thing.
@SpikeReacts_ games need to be fun first. if a web3 game can't hang in the fun department with the best web2 games then there's no reason to think it deserves players.
I just helped my @SolanaMBS Gen3 break free!! @MonkeDAO meet your newest monke. π
