Today, we showed up to Provost Ian Baucom’s office to demand UVA #CutTheChecks. He wasn’t there. But his office committed to a meeting at 3p tomorrow (1/3). We’ll be there! We need a simple system for UVA to cover cost from late rent + a plan to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

We asked UVA’s Executive Admin to assign a rep to meet us Mon, 10am. We intend to a) ask them listen to our experience, b) confirm a plan for everyone to receive stipend, c) ensure a *simple* process for receiving reimbursement for housing costs incurred. Will update on Insta.
