quick story time.
something i genuinely thought i’d never share on the internet:

23 years. never been in a relationship.

not because i didn’t date.
i’ve been on 100+ dates lol.
i just never met someone i felt sure enough about.

and obviously, i had designed what my first relationship would look like:

→ probably date a founder
→ someone whose life looked somewhat like mine
→ same city
→ eventually live together
→ date for 2-ish years, then maybe get married

very neat. very convenient. very me.

then around a month ago,
i met someone who was almost none of those things.

the first 20-25 days were ridiculously long conversations, 6-7 hour video calls and trying to steal as much time together as possible. our biggest “long distance” problem was whitefield to koramangala 😭

and then he went back to duty.

turns out dating someone in the armed forces changes your definition of long distance very quickly.

- almost overnight, 6-hour calls became 1-minute calls.
- sometimes 4-5 minutes across 4 days.
- video calls on weekends if life allows.
- absolutely no idea when we’ll speak next.

coming from someone who was convinced she could NEVER do long distance, this is quite a plot twist.

i wanted proximity and got distance.
i wanted similar lives and got completely different worlds.
i wanted predictability and got… none lol.

but i guess you can plan life all you want. when something feels right, you somehow figure out the parts you never planned for.

no idea where this goes.
for now, i’m just enjoying this-cute little plot twist in my life. hehe.
