Decoding minerals beyond the Eye.
Lets begin with Olivine, a dominant mineral of the Earth's upper mantle. Under petrographic examination, olivine exhibits distinctive optical and textural characteristics, high birefringence, absence of cleavage, irregular fracturing, and alteration along grain boundaries. These micro-features provide critical insights into magmatic crystallisation histories, mantle-derived processes, and post-formational alterations.
