Some thoughts on the new Epstein Files revelations:
I’ve now read everything that’s come out from the new Haberman and Swan book, and the thing I keep coming back to is the Situation Room. They held multiple meetings in the Situation Room about the Epstein files. That room is for war. It’s for national security emergencies. It is not for figuring out how to spin a scandal you’re telling the country is a hoax.
While the President was deflecting or calling this old news, his own Vice President and Chief of Staff were huddled in the most leak-proof room in America because they knew how bad it really was.
You don’t take a nothingburger to the Situation Room.
And I have to be honest, reading all this brings back a lot of frustration about what happened in the House of Representatives. I sat there and watched Mike Johnson send the House home early to dodge a vote on releasing these files. I watched him refuse to swear in a duly elected colleague for months just to stall the discharge petition. Month after month of excuses, arm twisting, and procedural games, all to keep this information from the public. We only got the files because survivors, families, and a handful of members in both parties simply refused to let it go.
So when people ask me why I talk so much about transparency and accountability, this is why. The truth eventually comes out. It always does.
The only question is whether your leaders helped reveal it or helped bury it.
Everyone who voted to keep these files hidden should have to answer for that.
Finally, notice what’s missing from all of this is any sign that Trump’s DOJ will actually investigate the powerful men named in these files.
Draw your own conclusions about why a Justice Department run by the President’s former defense lawyers might not be eager to pull that thread.

This 85-year-old protest song about Hitler is going viral because it is relevant again today.
This will be my ringtone and my wake-up alarm from now on.
People keep asking me what America is actually capable of, now that it has driven away every ally it has. The answer is not hypothetical. It is the Persian Gulf, right now.
Iran is a nation of 90 million people sitting on a mountain range that runs the entire length of its borders. Its military infrastructure is buried inside those mountains. Command centers, missile batteries, fuel depots, weapons production, all of it underground and dispersed across a country roughly the size of Western Europe. Operation Epic Fury struck approximately 6,000 targets.
Iran is still firing.
The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since late February. A quarter of the world’s daily oil supply has nowhere to go. The entrance is mined, patrolled and locked. And the most expensive military in human history is sitting outside it, unable to go in.
This is the moment to be honest about what America is missing.
Europe operates roughly 10,000 military aircraft. Not little propeller trainers. More than ten thousand combat-capable jets that would immediately transform the air campaign over the Gulf, free up American assets for the deep-penetration mountain missions that actually matter, and sustain an operational tempo no single nation can manage alone.
Britain fields two aircraft carriers and seven nuclear-armed hunter-killer submarines. France brings a nuclear carrier, fifteen frigates and its own nuclear submarine fleet. Belgium and the Netherlands operate the finest mine countermeasure vessels on earth, built specifically for strait-clearing operations of exactly this kind. Italy contributes two carriers and eight FREMM frigates. Poland has the largest land army in Europe. Norway has completed its conversion to the F-35 and fields fifty-two of them.
The map below shows some capabilities in Europe, but It represents only a fraction of what Europe actually has. It does not include Finland, Sweden, Spain, Romania, Greece or Portugal, each of which contributes substantial air power, naval tonnage and ground forces of their own. The full picture is considerably larger than what fits on one page.
And then there is Ukraine. Four years of industrial-scale warfare have produced the most battle-tested drone force in existence. Autonomous strike systems, mass swarm tactics and electronic warfare capabilities developed under live fire at a pace no peacetime military can replicate. An allied force with Ukrainian drone expertise integrated into it would look fundamentally different over the mountains of Iran than what America has there now.
European intelligence services have human networks inside Iran and across the Gulf that no satellite can replace. Germany and France maintained functioning diplomatic back-channels into Tehran until late 2025. That kind of quiet credibility is the difference between a negotiated shipping corridor and a permanent blockade. It cannot be improvised. It cannot be bombed into existence.
None of this is available, because Washington spent years treating its allies as freeloaders, adversaries and negotiating targets, and then went to war expecting the same loyalty it had spent years deliberately destroying.
The alliance built after 1945 was never charity. It was a force multiplier that no defense budget, however grotesque in size, can replace on its own. America is learning that now, at roughly a hundred million dollars per day in operational costs, with the strait still closed and the oil still not moving.
Trump was not acting in America’s interest. He was acting in the interest of a man who has never in his life had to live with the consequences of his own decisions. America is living with them now.

MAGA HEADS ARE GOING TO EXPLODE 🤯
🚨 A new Cato study found immigrants reduced US deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994.
Not increased.
Reduced.
Even undocumented immigrants were estimated to have reduced deficits by at least $1.7 trillion.
The very people Republicans keep villainizing are working, paying taxes, and helping keep the economy afloat while billionaires and corporations dodge taxes with loopholes their lobbyists wrote themselves.
🚨 Anthropic just showed a 27-minute workshop on how to actually do prompts for Claude.
Taught by the people who built it.
Free. No registration. No paywall.
I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what they teach in the first 8 minutes.
Watch it and bookmark it now.
Blacks were enslaved and Native Americans were genocided, but Trump only grants J6 domestic terrorists, who violently assaulted our nation’s capitol reparations.
Simply wrong. In every conceivable way.
One of the most horrifying and brutal scenes ever captured on camera in modern history.
Israeli soldiers opened fire on thousands of starving Palestinians in Gaza as they ran in desperation trying to get a piece of food during the war on Gaza.
A moment the world must never forget.
I haven't seen anyone tracking all of the alleged (or open) Trump corruption, self-dealing, and quid pro quos in one place. For the last 15 months, I've been tracking every single tip+story I can find and organizing it. Today, I published a 6,000 word piece with every example.
The Cato Institute is a libertarian think tank.
It just published a 30-year study showing immigrants paid 14.5 trillion dollars more in taxes than they received in government benefits.
Every single year. For thirty years. Without exception.
The country was lied to.
Here is what the study found.🧵

There’s a lesson there.
Italian investigative @reportrai3 just unleashed a political earthquake.
They’ve obtained never-before-heard 2017 audio of Paolo Zampolli, the man who introduced Melania to Donald Trump and now sits in his inner circle as Special Envoy to the US speaking of a secret pre-election PACT with the First Lady.
In the recorded call to a UN-linked contact, Zampolli reveals Melania allegedly told him:
“Paolo don’t worry... you have our back. Everything that happened, you protect... we protect you.”
This was right after the Trumps crushed the 2016 Daily Mail story accusing Melania of escort work with a massive lawsuit and settlement.
Zampolli says they kept their word after victory, pulling him deep into the President’s trusted circle like family.
The full audio and investigation air this Sunday on Rai3.
The teaser is already exploding across Italy. Zampolli is raging, threatening lawsuits but the tape is out there.
It always comes back to Epste!n
Palantir were kind enough to sum up its hideous ideology in 22 points. And I have taken the liberty of annotating each one of them. Here is my interpretation of all 22 of them (preserving the original numbering - for the original see their tweet below):
1. Silicon Valley owes an immeasurable debt to the ruling class who bailed out the criminal bankers that wrecked the livelihood of the majority of Americans. The engineering elite of Silicon Valley will defend that ruling class to the death (literally!), in the name of the majority of Americans whom they treat with contempt – i.e., like cattle that have lost their market value.
2. Palantir is eyeing the Apple Store, salivating over the prospect of creating its own technofeudal estate. Time to replace the iPhone with another device that dissolves what is left of people’s privacy.
3. Palantir shall give nothing away for free. It cares uniquely over its own growth which it pursues by sowing fear so that it can sell a fake sense of security.
4. Glory to brute force! Ethics is for suckers. The West needs more of Palantir’s murderous software.
5. AI-powered killer robots are coming. The task is to profit magnificently by building killer robots first and ask questions later. To be able to do so, Palantir will do whatever it takes to avoid at all cost any international treaties that limit AI-driven killer robots.
6. Every poor sod (lacking the connections to avoid being thrown into the trenches with killer drones targeting them from the sky) must be drafted into the army. Forget paying soldiers a salary. All payments should be directed to Palantir, where our own people will be serving their ‘national service’ – leaving the dying to non-shareholders.
7. Palantir works overtime to equip US Marines with killer bots that take away from the US Marines whatever remnants of ethical judgment they are left with on the battlefield. American society should be rendered perfectly incapable of any debate that restricts Palantir’s capacity to get the US Military to eliminate any remaining opportunity to reject its software’s choice of targets.
8. Palantir deplores the fact that the public sector is still not totally devoid of a conscience. Public servants must be fired en masse, except some very few approved by Palantir who will receive huge salaries, paid by taxpayers.
9. Palantir thinks that Donald Trump must be beatified for throwing himself into public service. Not forgiving folks like Trump everything risks our soul, not to mention that it raises the prospect of officials that restrict Palantir’s evil project.
10. Politics needs to be AI-like, devoid of anything that can be mistaken for human empathy. Those who look to the political arena to nourish their soul and sense of self must be sent to the gulag forthwith!
11. There are some people too eager to hasten Palantir’s demise. They should rethink, or else!
12. Palantir makes no nuclear weapons but is happily developing other weapons of mass destruction. We proudly announce that we are now ready to add to nuclear Armageddon the AI-driven threat to humanity’s existence.
13. No other country in the history of the world has committed so many war crimes in the name of progress and freedom. The United States offers infinite freedom to people like Palantir’s founders to profit so handsomely by inflicting so much damage upon humanity.
14. American power has feasted on causing one war after another, one putsch after another, one avoidable financial disaster after another. Too many have forgotten or perhaps have taken for granted America’s capacity to pursue forever wars in the name of peace and democracy.
15. German and Japanese Fascism must be made great again. The denazification of Germany was an overcorrection for which Europe is now paying a heavy price. A similar and highly misplaced commitment to Japanese pacifism must also end immediately!
16. We should applaud those who attempt to monopolise everything by means of generous government contracts. Billionaires must not be satisfied merely with their billions. To become even more obscenely rich they need grand narratives that help them convince the poor to use their freedom to keep them, the billionaires, in power. And, by the way, Palantir loves Elon, especially his grand apartheid-inspired narrative.
17. Silicon Valley must be free to do in America’s cities what it did in Gaza. Many politicians across the United States have essentially shrugged when it came to granting Palantir the right to annihilate all remaining civil liberties and human rights. This must end.
18. Epstein’s syndicate should be forgotten lest lovely people like Trump and the Clintons are deterred from entering government. The public arena must be scrutiny-free unless subversives like Sanders or Mamdani enter it.
19. We love banal public figures as long as they give Palantir all the juicy contracts. We also love colourful public figures who give Palantir all the juicy contracts.
20. We need more opium for the masses, as they are not sufficiently inebriated for us to be unimpeded in the pursuit of their complete subjugation. Questioning organised superstition is dangerous and must end.
21. Time to bring back Hitler’s hierarchy of races, with Palantir’s founders and Elon at its Aryan pinnacle. The idea that it is wrong to judge someone by the colour of their skin or their ethnicity or their religion must be jettisoned.
22. Blacks, Muslims, most Asians, and of course women, are inferior untermensch. Blokes in America, and more broadly the West, have for the past half century resisted putting these subhumans in their places in the name of inclusivity. It was a mistake. Such subhumans must never be allowed in, except as servants or sex service providers – at least until we can improve our robots, in which case we won’t need them at all.
America spends more on healthcare than any country on earth.
And still ranks last.
The land of the "free" is also the land of:
More school shootings than the rest of the world combined.
More people in prison than any democracy in history.
Half a million medical bankruptcies every year.
5 men worth more than 165 million Americans combined.
And still they tell us how they're the greatest country on earth.
Delusion is one hell of a drug.
MAGA thinks Europe can't defend itself without America. Here's what they don't know.
1. France and Britain have 515 nuclear warheads and 8 nuclear missile submarines.
2. European defence spending hit €481 billion this year. That's more than Russia and China spend combined. The EU's ReArm Europe plan is mobilising another €800 billion.
3. European countries have over 1.7 million active troops. Russia has 1.3 million.
4. EU and UK air forces fly over 1,400 combat aircraft. Their navies have five aircraft carriers, over 60 submarines, more than 120 frigates and destroyers.
5. Europe has over 6,000 artillery pieces and that's before the biggest rearmament wave since the Cold War. Poland alone is adding 212 new howitzers.
6. The British SAS invented modern special forces. The US copied them to build Delta Force. From France's Foreign Legion to Poland's GROM, Europe's elite units are among the deadliest on earth.
7. Europe already has joint military commands ready to fight. The UK leads a 10-nation rapid reaction force across Northern Europe and the Arctic. Finland alone can mobilise 900,000 trained reservists all prepared to fight in arctic conditions.
8. Europe has its own satellite navigation (Galileo), its own defence programme (75 active projects) and is building its own rapid deployment force.
The "helpless Europe" story was never about defence.
It was about keeping Europe dependent and buying American weapons, relying on American intelligence, following American foreign policy.
Thanks to Trump, that now ends.
