Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability, led the UAE's engagement at the 63rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, briefing Member States on preparations for the 2026 UN Water Conference and delivering a joint statement on behalf of the UAE and Senegal, co-hosts of the Conference.
The statement underscored that access to safe drinking water and sanitation is indispensable to health, dignity, and full participation in society, and called for strengthened international cooperation.
